The last time we were together was in Atlanta in 2022. What a great time we had. And now it's time to meet again in California for 2024! Our upcoming family reunion will occur from Wednesday, July 10th, to Sunday, July 14th, 2024, in San Francisco, California.

The Sonesta-Emeryville in Emeryville, California, will be the designated accommodation for the reunion. Please start planning now to be in attendance.

2025 Family Reunion

There is indeed nothing like family. Long before Facebook, cell phones, and Zoom, the family would gather in the kitchen or around the fireplace to share stories, swap "lies," and tease one another. An elder would share stories of the past and memorable events. At the same time, relatives would drop by to join the gathering and enjoy good food.

Our family spans from Tallahassee to California and from the Carolinas to Georgia. Young individuals can learn more about their ancestors but often lack the opportunity to interact with their elders. They may wonder why they possess specific talents and characteristics. This reunion is our chance to catch up with "news," meet cousins, hug aunts and uncles, and marvel at how the young ones are growing up.

Join us as we invite all family members to bond across generations. This means connecting with grandparents, parents, children, and all other relatives. Of course, we must remember those friends that are just like family. Let’s close gaps and bring connections closer together.

We have already agreed that this needs to be a bi-annual connection to learn more about each other’s lives and become more familiar with our history. What are you waiting for?

Activity Details

Event Activities*

On Wednesday, the celebration will begin with a Meet & Greet event at the hotel, where family members can enjoy fun activities and conversations. We will conclude in worship on Sunday, as a family should.

Church service @ New Hope Baptist Church on Sunday – 7/14/24
